Automatic realization of a Company Compliancy

After specifying Company Compliancy settings one-time, these settings can be applied accurately to every package by any engineer at the push of a button!

Quality- and security analysis

Quality- and security analysis of any MSI source (i.e. vendor MSI, snapshot, etc...). Insufficient package quality and security critical custom actions are displayed.

Built-in error / solution data base

Built-in error / solution data base for an easier controlling of the MSI technology including Best Practice concepts for the MSI management

Multi Package Repair

This feature first analyzes all MSI packages found on one or more shares. Afterward an automatic repair of all detected errors respectively a repair of all predefined standards can be realized through the repair function and by means of a central knowledge data base.

Wizard based operator guidance

Easy to use wizard based operator guidance for complex processes also (i.e. specifying quality requirements for Corporate Packages).

Layer based Grouping

Within the Grouping created packages are assigned to different layers and a generic script is generated realizing this layer structure. Afterward these scripts can be used in any deployment system. Over this function dependencies can be represented in a simple way.

Innovative Crawler Technology

The Crawler Service imports and analyzes automatically all changed respectively new MSI packages from one or more source directories. Thus i.e. updated conflict data is always available which allows creating a conflict report within seconds!

Multilingual support

The suite is completely multilingual, including all the reports and the know-how data base.

Complete Microsoft MSI Technology support

Through the support of the Microsoft ICE validation and the MSI guidelines a neutral assessment of the MSI sources can be ensured. In doing so, the validation, assessment and the improvement takes place following squarely the Microsoft defined principle.

MSI Quality Assessment and MSI Quality Trending

By means of the function MSI Quality Assessment an inventory and a quality assessment is made for all existing MSI files. In doing so a conclusion over the current found quality can be made and based on historical data a trend-setting evaluation over the package quality can be made. Through the Quality Trending Feature, that's based on a few key values a manager is able to analyze an increase or decrease of the package quality level in his environment.

Quickscan

Using the right click onto an MSI package, the Quickscan technology allows creating a significant package report without starting the binaryOptimizer completely. In doing so only a minimal version of the user interface is started.

MS SQL 2005 / MS SQL 2007 / MS SQL 2008

Based on a Client/Server architecture, the Optimizer runs on every Microsoft-based SQL server starting with the version MS SQL 2005.

Scalable data base architecture

The Optimizers scalable architecture allows the operation for small-, middle- and large-sized environments. The Optimizer scales from one to several thousand MSI packages without any difficulty. Through the support of having several mandates the packages can be easily divided by assigning them to different mandates (data bases).

Error / Solution data base (Best Practice Approach)

The Optimizer is delivered with an already populated Error / Solution data base. The data base is constantly maintained and extended. The data base is implemented multilingual, therefore it allows an easier controlling of the MSI technology including MSI Management Best Practice concepts.

Intelligent data base updating

After a new release was installed and the Optimizer is started for the first time, the existing data base is updated by the Administrator at a push of the button.

XML based

A redundant saving of the configuration data in the data base and saving the data in XML format as well allows a complete data base rebuilt in the event of loss.

Microsoft based technology and development

The Optimizer is completely developed in Microsoft .NET and is based on .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. The Microsoft SQL Server data bases 2005, 2007 and 2008 are supported.

Scalable data base architecture

The scalable data base architecture of the Optimizer allows the operation with 1-1000 packages in a data base. Through the support of numerous mandates an operation with several thousand packages for a multitude of clients is possible.

Runs on every operating system starting from Windows XP

Through the consistent use of the Microsoft technology the Optimizer runs in 32bit and 64bit versions with the operating systems Windows XP / Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
